How Google Calendar sync works
- Connect Google — Sign in with your Google account and choose which calendar Bookable should use.
- Bookings write to Google — When a client books, the appointment (service, time, client details) shows up on your calendar.
- Busy times block booking — Existing Google events mark those slots as unavailable on your booking page.
- Updates stay in sync — Reschedules and cancellations in Bookable update the calendar event so you are never looking at stale data.
Setup checklist
- Create your Bookable account and add services with realistic durations
- Connect Google Calendar from settings (takes a couple of minutes)
- Confirm the correct calendar is selected (personal vs shared)
- Create a test booking and verify it appears in Google Calendar
